Egg Spindle Observation Spindle View

The chromosomes of a mature (MII) oocyte are organized and segregated by the meiotic spindle, which is invisible under a standard light microscope.

Egg spindle observation uses polarized-light microscopy (PolScope) to non-invasively reveal the spindle's position and shape, helping confirm egg maturity and avoid the spindle during micro-injection to reduce the risk of chromosomal damage.
