Article Content: How to obtain your entry pass for medical treatment in Taiwan in the most efficient way!
As a Hong Kong or Macau resident, are you worried that applying for a medical visa to Taiwan may be time-consuming and stressful? 🤔
Yun-I’s international medical specialist, Ku Mai-Hsiang-Ti, shares her recent experience assisting Hong Kong and Macau residents in successfully applying for medical visas to Taiwan, helping you prepare the required documents with peace of mind:
- 1.Your passport must be valid for more than 6 months.
- 2.A 2-inch half-length color photo with a white background taken within the past 2 years.
- 3.Hong Kong or Macau permanent resident identity card.
- 4.If you plan to come to Taiwan for IVF treatment, your marriage certificate must be authenticated by the local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. We recommend making an appointment with the local office in advance.
- 5.Entry and exit permits must be applied for online. There is no need to apply in person, so please do not make an unnecessary trip.
- 6.If you have changed your name before, remember to upload the name change deed to the system as well.
- 7.If you were born in Mainland China, you must have continuously resided outside Mainland China for more than 4 years and currently reside in Hong Kong or Macau. Please provide your Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents.
- 8.If a relative will accompany you to Taiwan for medical treatment, please also provide proof of family relationship.
- 9.All of the above documents, including the medical treatment plan provided by Yun-I, must be uploaded together to the online application system of the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Republic of China.
- 10.If no additional supporting documents are required, approval will usually be granted within 5 working days. After completing the online payment, you will receive the electronic permit file.
