【Good Pregnancy Story: International Medical Care】
Ms. H and her German husband live in Germany.
After six years of marriage, she had still not become pregnant.
She had taken ovulation medication several times in Germany without success, and two IVF treatments also failed.
In 2023, at the age of 33, she returned to Taiwan and came to Yun-I.
After evaluation by Dr. Hui-Po Li, she underwent one IVF treatment cycle in May.
After egg retrieval, she returned to Germany, while we successfully cultured and froze 6 blastocysts for her.
Before returning to Taiwan for her first embryo transfer, she had already undergone two hysteroscopic examinations in Germany, and both were reported as showing no abnormalities.
However, after she returned to Taiwan, I still saw a polyp inside her uterine cavity.
Considering that her work and family situation allowed her only limited time to stay in Taiwan, we decided to arrange another hysteroscopic examination at Yun-I with Dr. Yi-Liang Li.
The examination found not only a 1.5 cm polyp, but also adhesions.
We cleaned and treated the uterine cavity for her, then asked her to return to Germany to rest before coming back to Taiwan for embryo transfer at a later time.
This May, she returned for embryo transfer using hormone replacement therapy.
She first took estrogen medication in Germany, and after returning to Yun-I, we adjusted the dosage.
Finally, in May, the embryo transfer was completed smoothly, and she returned to Germany for follow-up.
She is now 8 weeks pregnant, and the fetal heartbeat has been seen 💓!
She shared that in Germany, arranging appointments or examinations often takes a long time.
Even reviewing test reports requires waiting several days, and the explanations and communication with physicians are not always clear.
After returning to Yun-I in Taiwan, we helped her complete all necessary examinations and treatments within her short stay in Taiwan, which made her feel deeply cared for.
Looking back, it has already been two years since she first came to Yun-I.
During this time, she has traveled back and forth between Germany and Taiwan several times.
Throughout the process, we cultured 6 high-quality embryos for her and also completed hysteroscopic examination and surgery, allowing this embryo transfer to implant successfully.
