From Taiwan to Hawaii, this IVF treatment journey was full of challenges, but also filled with warmth.
After undergoing frozen embryo transfer at Yun-I, the moment the pregnancy test showed two lines, my heart was filled with emotion and joy.
However, because of my husband’s work, I had to return to Hawaii very soon.
I then realized that connecting with the local medical system was more challenging than I had imagined.
An examination that could originally have been completed in a short time ended up taking several hours.
Throughout the process, I also had to continuously communicate with the medical institution in order to successfully obtain the necessary information and reports.
It was hard not to feel helpless and anxious.
Fortunately!
The nursing consultants at Yun-I immediately helped me ask Dr. Hui-Po Li to interpret the report.
Even after work hours, they specially called to check on me and said, “Everything is fine. Don’t worry.”
This care from Taiwan made me feel deeply reassured and warm!
After nearly two weeks, I finally got an ultrasound appointment at the hospital in the United States.
When the doctor pointed to the blinking little spot on the screen and told us, “This is the heartbeat. Congratulations!”
My husband was deeply moved and said this was the most precious gift he had ever received.
As for me, I was both overjoyed and nervous, because I knew there were still many steps ahead.
But in that moment, I could finally let go of the heavy stone in my heart.
During early pregnancy, I still needed medication and follow-up care.
However, the way the local medical system operates is different from Taiwan, and it took some time for me to adjust.
Thankfully, after the Yun-I nurse saw my message, she immediately called me back.
They even asked Dr. Li to speak with me personally and carefully provide professional advice, which made me feel much more at ease.
At that moment, I truly missed the Yun-I medical team in Taiwan.
They are attentive, professional, and always respond promptly, providing the most comprehensive and thoughtful care.
If circumstances allowed, I truly wish I could complete my entire pregnancy journey in Taiwan.
Looking back on this journey, there were challenges, encouragement, and touching moments, but most of all, gratitude.
Thank you to Yun-I for your warm companionship, allowing me to feel the safest protection even while I was far overseas.
