【Good Pregnancy Story】Can I Still Get Pregnant Smoothly If I Have an Ovarian Tumor?

I used to think that getting married and having children was something simple and easy.

It was not until I was 26 years old, when I was diagnosed with a low malignant potential tumor in my right ovary and underwent surgery to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube, that I began to worry about having children in the future.

The same year I got married at 27, I went to a well-known fertility center in Taipei to consult about IVF and started treatment.

At first, I thought IVF would definitely help me get pregnant.

The doctor also told me that since I was still so young, as long as there was one good egg that could form an embryo, pregnancy should not be a problem~

So at that time, I did not pay special attention to diet, exercise, or even supplements.

During my first egg retrieval, 8 eggs were retrieved, 4 were successfully fertilized, but all stopped developing halfway through culture……

When I received the call from the clinic informing me that the treatment had failed, tears fell uncontrollably.

Later, during the follow-up visit, the doctor simply said that the “egg quality was poor,” so the embryos could not continue developing until the final stage.

After that, I rested for a year and wanted to try IVF again, but I did not want to return to the same fertility center.

Later, through a friend’s recommendation, I came to Yun-I and met Dr. Hui-Po Li.

What impressed me deeply about Dr. Li was that when I first made an appointment, I had expected to start treatment right away.

Unexpectedly, Dr. Li asked me to condition my eggs for 3 months first and then come back to start treatment, hoping to create a better chance of success.

This made me truly feel that Dr. Li genuinely cared about the patient’s best interest, rather than rushing into treatment just for profit.

About half a year later, I returned for follow-up and began treatment.

Throughout the process, whether it was the doctor, nurses, pharmacists, or front desk staff, every person was very kind, and the environment made me feel very relaxed.

This time, 8 eggs were successfully retrieved again, and finally 3 embryos were developed.

At that time, I first saw through the app that 3 blastocyst-stage embryos had been frozen. I was truly very moved.

After working hard for so long, it finally felt like my efforts had not been wasted.

IVF is really about passing one stage after another.

After resting for 2 months, we proceeded with embryo transfer, but the first transfer failed.

There were, of course, many possible reasons, so we waited for the right timing to do the second transfer.

However, during that period, my previous tumor recurred.

After evaluation, Dr. Li recommended that we first deal with this difficult issue before trying embryo transfer and pregnancy again.

So I underwent a second surgery.

After resting for 4 months, this time we chose to transfer 2 embryos.

Waiting for the result was truly the most anxious and difficult part.

The first 6 days were normal, but on day 7, I started to have slight bleeding…

Seeing the bleeding made me nervous and sad.

Dr. Li also arranged for an earlier HCG test on day 8 after transfer.

At that moment, I truly thought the transfer had failed again. Unexpectedly, the blood test result showed that implantation had occurred.

When I saw the message, I cried.

We were also able to smoothly see the gestational sac when the baby was a little over 4 weeks, and we saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks.

Although there was intermittent bleeding during the first few weeks, Dr. Li always provided timely treatment plans.

Whenever I had questions, I immediately messaged Yun-I, and they always replied right away, which truly made me feel much more reassured~

I am extremely grateful to the doctor and all the nursing staff for their care and assistance throughout this journey.

Without Yun-I, there would be no us today ❤️

If there are sisters who are also struggling with fertility issues, don’t worry and don’t hesitate. Just make an appointment with Dr. Li at Yun-I right away 👍
