Yun-I’s First Mother of Three
Since opening in 2020, after four years, Yun-I has finally welcomed its first mother of three～👍👍
After experiencing two failed intrauterine insemination treatments in 2020, Ms. L decided to begin IVF treatment at Yun-I in early 2021.
At that time, she was 34 years old. With one egg retrieval cycle, a total of 9 embryos were frozen.
She underwent single embryo transfer in 2021, 2022, and 2024 respectively. We are very happy that all three transfers resulted in successful pregnancies 👩🏻🍼
Her case shows that even with single embryo transfer in IVF treatment, an excellent cumulative pregnancy rate can still be expected.
Yun-I fertility consultant nurse Ya-Lin Huang explained:
During an assisted reproduction treatment cycle, eggs are retrieved once, embryos are created and transferred to achieve pregnancy. When the couple later plans to become pregnant again, the remaining embryos can be thawed and transferred one by one. The chance of achieving pregnancy through these successive transfers is called the “cumulative pregnancy rate,” which is an important indicator for evaluating IVF success rates.
Over the past decade, reproductive medicine specialists in Taiwan and abroad have tended to recommend Single Embryo Transfer, SET, with the hope of achieving a healthy, full-term singleton pregnancy and avoiding the burden that multiple pregnancies may place on families and medical care systems.
At Yun-I, the single embryo transfer rate is 67.5%.
